Almodóvar clarified that his characters are inspired “by all the very modern women I met during La Movida and the women I knew from the village during my childhood, they would sit outside in the street where I lived, like my mother and the neighbours, who were very strong and open-minded.

Hi again,
It’s a super brief one today because I’ve just had a roast dinner and need to switch off.
I spent some time this afternoon scanning through scanned Almodóvar press cuttings dating back to the early 80’s. The result is this week’s Boletín which I’ve made for my year 12s as an introduction to the man himself. For anybody new to teaching Volver the collage above might be a good place to start! The posts below will also help out!
