As ever thank you so much for subscribing to this newsletter. I’m excited to release edition 88 which is part 3 in the series of consequences of the Spanish Civil War. The three texts focus on los desaparecidos, la Ley de Memoria Democrática and María Martín.

The idea for this edition has been on my to-do list for about 3 months and came about after having watched El silenco de otros for the third time. For those, like me, who have an interest in the SCW or teach the WJEC spec watching it is a must.

The exam style question in edition 88 is one which hasn’t featured in a while and that is simple question and answer in Spanish.

Grammar/language to be on the look out for:

• Irregular past tense

• Higher numbers

• Passive voice

• Direct Object Pronouns

• Imperfect tense

• Future simple tense

• Past participles acting as adjective

• Subjunctive with para que trigger
